Oh Dear Odie

Hi everyone,
My name is Odin, but my friends call me Odie :)

I'm a happy, goofy puppy who is only 1 and 4 months! I love pats, licking my brother Tigger and trying to play with my big brother Tyson! Our little family is pawfect!

Unfortunately for me, when I try to play, my legs hurt me. I haven't had the normal carefree puppy life, like I see all other puppies around me having. My parents knew I was going to be special when they adopted me and saved me from a sad life, but they didn't know HOW special I was!

When I was only 6 months old, I had to have both my front legs broken and reset as I was growing too quick for my body and they couldn't keep up. I also then had to spend 8 weeks in plaster after this and not being able to walk. Let me tell you, it was hard being a big, playful and excitable pup, but not being able to play with my loving family and get out in that fresh air. I'm the luckiest pup in the world because my parents paid the nice vet lady lots of money to give me a chance again at being able to run again...

Now that I'm healthy again and trying to run around with my big brother Tyson, I can't seen to keep up with him and I feel lots of pain in my back legs but I keep trying to keep up with him...

Recently, I've seen my Mum and Dad upset again like last time. I've been going back to the nice vet lady, and having lots more tests. They've found out that now my back legs need to have operations on each of them as I've dislocated both my knees and that's what is causing me all this new pain and holding me back from the life I want to live. Unfortunately, last year when my front legs were sore, a vet put a note down saying something about my back legs but my parents didn't know. This means my pet insurance doesn't cover what needs to be done to help me get out there and running again. Do you know how fun it is to run?! Have you seen how long my legs are? I could beat you in a race I am sure, but I can't do it yet until my legs get fixed.

The only problem is that it's not going to be cheap, and my poor parents have gone through so much for me already and it isn't covered in their pet insurance they took out for me because they had a feeling I'd be special. I'd really like to see if any of you Hoomans could help them out? It would mean oh so much to me to get some pawsitive news!

If you could spare anything to help raise me some funds to help me with getting the surgery and the vet / care bills for afterwards, I promise to come give you a big kiss when I'm all better! It would be PAWsome if you could also share this page with any other kind Hoomans like yourself who could help raise the money to help us out.
