Officer Jake Walker’s Accident Recovery

On June 16th, Jake was hit by a drunk driver while on his motorcycle. The accident broke his femur and caused many other breaks and injuries. He has been in and out of the hospital since due to the severity of the injuries and complications. The driver that hit him had insufficient insurance and can barely cover about 1/5th of the accident. He had to undergone a few more surgeries due to sepsis. All he wants to do is go back to work again to help his fellow members of The Tucson Police Department. He always worked overtime and extra shifts because nothing makes him happier than serving his community as a police officer. He’s burning all his paid time off and can’t work all the overtime he was. That is really effecting as well financially. 

Jake is an amazing guy with a big heart just always trying to make a difference. This has all been very taxing on him emotionally. I just want us to help as much as we can to make his recovery easier.
