Sat Nam Beloved Family and Friends,
For those of you who may not know, we found out a year ago that Guru Bhai Singh had rectal cancer. Last June and July he had six weeks of radiation and chemotherapy to shrink the tumor, before surgery on August 17th. It has been many months since we have updated you on his health status. By the Grace of God Guru Bhai Singh continues to heal. It has been a challenging journey that included a second surgery just days after his cancer surgery, resulting in a systemic infection and a stay in the Intensive Care Unit. He then spent weeks in rehab to rebuild his strength and stamina. On October 26th we returned home, where he continues to rebuild his strength and regain his weight. The good news is that last week he was healthy enough to have a much needed hernia surgery.
Unfortunately Gurubhai Singh will not be able to work for another four months. Thus far we have been supported on this expensive medical journey, by loving donations given through
GoFundMe and personal gifts. Gurubhai Singh is now well enough for me to be able to go back to work. I have the best job! I am working as the sevadar for the Hacienda de Guru Ram Das Akhand Path. The job is an answer to my prayers but we are again in debt and cannot make ends meet until the time that Gurubhai Singh can return to work.
We are reopening the GoFundMe site with a goal of $6000 to cover us until we are on our feet. May Guru Ram Das bless you for your prayers and for your generosity and kindness.
