Care for Colden

This is my nephew Colden. About a week ago, at just under 2 years old, he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. This form of diabetes is rare amongst the total population of diabetics; 95% have Type 2.

Type 1 diabetes has no cure and will require continuous insulin injections and blood glucose checks for the rest of Coldens life.

Colden currently has to get a minimum of 4 insulin injections every single day, along with 5-7 finger prick blood glucose checks.

As life changing and difficult as that may seem, my brother also has a 6 year old son and another baby on the way! This will be Erin's 3rd high-risk pregnancy due to her asthma and gestational diabetes and she is thus required to see a specialist for monthly ultrasounds. She will also need to have a cesarian delivery, resulting in additional hospital debt and longer healing time.

My brother isn't the type to take a hand out. However, I want to help them in any way that I can seeing as they are living off of a single income and accumulating loads of expenses that are, unfortunately, not covered by insurance.

I love Colden, Carter, my brother and Erin... and my little niece that's on her way; I couldn't think of a more deserving and dedicated family to receive any monetary help possible to relieve some of the tremendous stress of their situation and get Colden the treatment and care that he so desperately deserves.
