Mandated Former Nurse
My name is Danny and I’m a nurse of 26 years. I worked in the Emergency Department for 21 years and formerly worked in a perioperative setting. My employment terminated on September 1, 2021 because of a mandatory vaccine notification I’ve received from my employer. They mandated that all employees be vaccinated by this date or they will be terminated. Other major healthcare systems within my community are following suit and doing the same thing. My career ended prematurely because I choose my right to not take the experimental injection. Because of this action by these healthcare facilities I suddenly find myself without employment. My friends and family have been supportive of me through this process and understand my decisions for not choosing this medical treatment. Unfortunately losing my job put me in a hard place to maintain our home and financial obligations associated. I spent the past 26 years serving and caring for the general public. Never once did I discriminate my concern or caring and for once in my life I’m turning to the general public to ask for help. I’ve worked countless hours and made self sacrifices beyond most individuals. I’ve grieved with hundreds of families and delivered news to families that have left a lifetime scar. I’ve also celebrated many miracles within the same world. Age 1 day to 100 years old, I’ve cared for all. All races, colors, and creed. I belong to an army of nurses. Nurses in this country that do wonderful things on a daily basis that go on noticed. I’m not asking for sympathy through this as I chose this profession as did my colleagues. I am simply hoping there are some good people out there that recognize what a horrible position this has put me and my family in and find the generosity within their souls to help me out. I braved the frontline of Covid screening testing centers without hesitation and hope that you make a donation with the same gusto.
