As many of you know, Dita's partner, Lucas Dai Pra, suffered a traumatic brain injury while skateboarding in Maui last Friday and has been in a medically induced coma since.
Dita has been by his side 24/7, literally sleeping/eating/showering at Maui Memorial Hospital, living out of her suitcase. They originally planned to return home to the Bay Area on February 8th, but will need to remain in Maui for several more weeks at the least.
Because of this tragedy, Dita and Lucas have been forced to take unplanned time off work and away from home, which is creating an enormous financial burden.
We are asking for any donations, big or small, which will help them tangibly manage this incredibly difficult time. Dita's car was towed and is now impounded in Oakland, just for starters. Expense continue to mount - as you can imagine, the list goes on.
