NOW, THE HEALER NEEDS HEALING

Summary:

On March 3, 2025, Free Woman walked into a hospital clinic thinking she was dehydrated and tired due to a UTI/hot environment. The doctor suggested a blood test as part of a general check up, and then she got the surprise of her life.

Doctors call her Walking Miracle, because they do not understand how she is alive.

Looking at her blood tests doctors have told her:

“These are morgue numbers”

“I literally don't know anyone alive with these numbers”

"You must have been bleeding out slowly, because if anyone lost that amount of blood all at once they would have died."

ANSWER THE CALL

In 2017, Free Woman answered the call of ancestors to return to Africa, and went with $300 to her name. In the first 3 months, THREE little girls were raped and murdered by grown men. Free Woman let her return ticket go.

She was called to answer the question: “How did we get here?”

HEALING GENERATIONAL TRAUMA

Free Woman returned to the roots of the wounds of humanity in Africa. Ancestors called her to the sites of slavery, colonization and genocide in NINE African countries TO BE AN ANSWER: part of a healing solution. She is planning on writing lessons learned from the road and as Free Woman traveled, she provided remote Spiritual counselling to activists globally who were interested in de-colonization, healing and social justice.

Free Woman has facilitated healing with ancestors with over 1,000 people for over ten years. Mexico | Europe | Canada | US | Asia, all through word of mouth. Then there are the divine appointments; Free Woman has offered healing all over Africa to people Spirit brings to her as she goes. For example: People who have prayed, asking for help in the morning… Free Woman shows up in their lives that evening to offer her gifts. Again and again. Country after country.

It would take Free Woman EIGHT years to answer the question and to learn how to heal the wounds that transcend space and time. It has taken everything she had to answer the call.

In March 2025, Free Woman's body collapsed due to low blood. She was able to access urgent care and is now integrating, healing and recovering in Kenya.

END GAME: THE HEALER NEEDS HEALING

Born to heal legacies of systemic oppression of THE OTHER, Free Woman has been forced to STOP. Focus on herself. ASK FOR HELP. Now, the giver learns to receive.

Unable to work due to this severe anemia, Free Woman has been living off donations to cover food, rent and medical expenses in Kenya. She lives in a hotel ten minutes from her doctor in case of a medical emergency.

No family | no friends | no community in Kenya

Her hotel has been wonderful in allowing her to eat on credit, delaying paying rent for 30 days, so she can prioritize her health. Her medical community, and a handful of long-distance friends, mother Africa and ancestors are her lifeline.

Due to her medical condition, Free Woman is banned from flying until her Hemoglobin levels reach 11 or higher and clearance is given by a medical doctor. So far her Hemoglobin levels have risen to 8, then back down to 7 with her recent cycle. Normal levels are 13, meanwhile....Her ferritin levels (Iron stores) are so low she would be sent for blood transfusion if living in Canada.

Last month, Free Woman lost so much blood, she had to go to the emergency room. A medication to stop bleeding did not work. Healing is a process. She has the best medical doctors in all of Kenya and the reality is; Free Woman could never afford such excellent health care in America. By taking care of herself she is healing generational medical neglect due to poverty, racism, misogyny, contempt and rejection.

The key now is to build blood. The initial diagnosis is fibroids, but she still needs testing to confirm that and rule out any other cause. In addition to ongoing iron transfusions, doctor appointments, she needs funds for housing, food.

Another piece of this is that Kenya gave her a one-time medical visa, and it expires on July 20, 2025. She needs to be well enough to travel by July 15, at which time she will then drive to Uganda and will spend at least 3 months recovering, building blood and, hopefully, getting enough energy to write about all she has learned to share with the world.

GOAL: Blood level 11, to be well enough to travel by July 15, 2025. She is now at 8, though her cycle is soon to come, so she may dip back to 7 again, we shall see. Surgery or non-invasive procedures, should she decide to go either route, is not an option until Haemoglobin levels reach 13, which will take another 1 to 2 months with medical intervention.

All medication | doctor consultation | medical tests | hospital visits are paid with cash. My dear friend is drained. She continues to rise, as is her way, but her body literally has been drained of it's resources and she needs replenishment. While unable to work, her friends, Ancestors and the kindness of a few local folks have supported her, but now, she needs help from beyond those who know her.

It is time for fundraising beyond her networks. As I was so graciously supported this year (Lamia’s Trans Launch Pad), I would like to pay it forward through helping Free Woman raise money for her medical care, recovery and launch into the next phase of her life, her ongoing recovery and contributions to healing.

Her prayer, spiritual guidance, clearings and channeled messages have helped me and 1000’s of others heal our own inheritances. It was during one of my calls with her last year, that I got clear and confident to ask for what I wanted to receive. I had gone in thinking I had to ask for the very smallest amount possible, but as the session went on it became clear I had to ask for more, to truly launch out of the intergenerational working class inheritance I have. After all the support I had to heal from surgery and burnout, I am now shifting the working class legacy of my family line. This will change the path for my kids, even their experience of witnessing friends, colleagues, stranger donating to my fundraiser has shifted their worldview.
