NOVA Philharmonia - support young musicians
Donation protected
NOVA Philharmonia, named after Sayat Nova, Armenian poet and musician, and with latin roots for “new”, is a concept youth orchestra that aims to invest in the young generation of emerging artists from all around the world.
The project, based in London, is bringing to the public a range of repertoire from an international line of composers, paired with the most regarded works in the orchestral playing history. In the first half of our 2025 season, Nova is bringing to the stage three very promising concerts happening all in the wonderful venue of St. James’s Church, located in Paddington.
We embark in this journey with our debut concert on the 22nd of February of 2025, including in our programme Arutiunian’s Violin Concerto, played by Slovenian violinist Maša Stopar, accompanied by Mendelssohn’s emotive Hebrides Overture and the great Symphony n. 1 by Brahms.
As young musicians, we truly believe in the importance of investing in our society’s cultural life and guiding the newer generations to wisdom and passion. Saving our musical heritage is a mission we will be fighting for, and we hope to count on our estimated public to join us in this matter.
It is no doubt that founding a cultural project requires a great financial investment, and we are no exception. As a newly founded orchestra in the heart of the UK, we face the challenge of raising enough money to invest even further on this promising project.
The members of the orchestra and its Chief Conductor and Artistic Director, Patricia Khachkalyan Gomes, believe in the importance of investing in our cultural tradition as well as innovation through patronage for the arts. We ask for your help and support on this path and we welcome you in this exciting new chapter and hope to see you along the way.
