Nosa's Global Health Distinction Capstone Project

Donation protected
Hi, family and friends!

I'm thrilled to share that in just 15 days, I’ll have successfully completed my first year of medical school! It's been a whirlwind of learning and growth, and I couldn't have made it this far without your unwavering support. As I embark on my second year, I am excited to also begin working on a 2-3 year capstone project for a global health distinction I am pursuing alongside my medical degree.

My capstone project focuses on a critical issue: the impact of war on healthcare accessibility for refugees and displaced persons. Specifically, I'm interested in learning about the experiences of the Sudanese and Palestinian populations seeking refuge in Egypt, many of whom include my family. Over the course of a month this summer, I, along with a few classmates, will be immersed in clinics, shadowing healthcare professionals and conducting interviews with refugee patients to better understand their unique challenges and needs.

However, to make this capstone trip possible, I must fund most of my transportation and living expenses. If you're able to and interested in supporting my project, I invite you to contribute through this GoFundMe link. Your generosity will enable me to conduct valuable research. Any additional aid raised will also allow me to provide essential hygiene and menstrual supplies to the patients I encounter.

Thank you immensely for your support!
