Home Lost in Fire, Burned Cats

A very dear woman named Janice Catanzarite lost her house today in the Fork Fire in North Fork, California.  Her house was the second house lost, and she had no time to save anything except one kitten she is bottle feeding.  She and others are trying to rescue her cats, many of which are still missing.  Several that were caught late this evening have burns, two are fairly minor but this guy, named Pacer, has burns to his face and ears as well as the pads of his feet.  She has lost everything and he is going to need vet care (as do the other two).  She lost at least one cat in her home and 7 are missing.  She is determined to find all the others.  Two of her neighbor’s three cats are also missing and may need care.  She is staying in an unfurnished rental house within walking distance until she can find the others.  I am a friend of Janice’s, and her son authorized me to set up this for her.   All proceeds will go to the vet bills for the animal care and to help her with her fire losses if there is any left over.
