We like to call Noodles our adventure boy. Noodles loves to go on adventures, and explore, and jump, and run, and just do everything he can as a puppy. Unfortunately, this also manifests itself in what he eats sometimes. Between Saturday morning and Monday night, Noodles refused to eat, continuously vomited, and shook violently. We took him to the emergency vet, and after waiting for five hours were told that his blood work and x-rays were normal. He was sent home. He continued to get worse and he was taken back to the emergency hospital the next night. We decided to do an emergency surgery, and a squeaker was found in his GI tract. Our adventure boy had adventured too little too hard, and was in a lot of pain because of it. That's hard on a family, but while picking up a nausea medication, Katie, his owner, was struck by a car while on foot in the crosswalk of the store. She was knocked over and hit the back of her head on the concrete of the crosswalk. She was admitted to the ED with a head injury and is dealing with pain as well as some stress from the fear of the incident. We are so thankful everyone is doing as well as they can, and improving at all times. However, this has hit us very hard financially. 2018 has already been a year of a lot of unexpected finances, and the $4,200 vet bill isn't something we can handle easily. We are monthly contributors to save the children, frequent Facebook fundraiser donators, and love to support our friends when we can. It's hard to ask for something like this, and it's hard not to feel selfish. Getting noodles the best care possible was very important to us, and the money was an afterthought.
