Nolan Cornish

Nolan Bennett Cornish was Born May 17/17 at 33 weeks  to Kevin and Crystal Cornish.  His parents are finding out this little man has his own plan and schedule. He wanted to come so early that mommy and daddy had to deliver on an a farmer’s approach near Lang. They have Spent 58 days in Regina NICU where Nolan was diagnosed with Trisomy 21 (Down’s syndrome), a VSD and ASD (holes in his heart) and  laryngomalacia. He required respiratory assistance and an NG tube for feeding. Since being discharged on July 14, he has seen numerous doctors and medical professionals in the search to get their little warrior healthy. It has been a battle to keep him healthy and he has needed 5 hospital admissions and ambulance rides since his discharge from NICU. He is prone to upper respiratory problems which is the cause for his frequent hospital admissions. He has been in hospital 100 days of his short life so far. They are currently waiting to be sent to Saskatoon to see a respirologist and cardiologist as his need for oxygen has increased and it is uncertain if heart surgery may be in his near future. Frequent trips back and forth to Regina, time away from work, and trying to balance the needs of a proud big brother Nathan, have been very challenging. Nolans parents are very thankful for so much support from family and friends that God has surrounded them with. They are learning that each day is a gift and are glad that they don’t walk alone through the unknown and difficult times. We would like to help them financially for medical expenses, fuel costs, food while staying at hospital, taking time off of work and other unknown expenses that may arise in their journey ahead.
