Nkera Emergency Fund
Donation protected
On Friday, February 10th, the Nkera Family of West Medford suffered the tragic loss of most of their home and belongings in a house fire. Nkera Ruku and Marie have five children, including twins Oprah and Eleanor, who are 5th graders at the Brooks Elementary. They are wonderful, sweet girls who enjoy reading and anything art related and are also active Girl Scouts. Iragi is a student at Medford High School and their older siblings, Christian and Crystal are in college. The family is are also active parishoners of St. Raphael's in Medford.
The Nkera family will be displaced from their home for at least three months, maybe longer. Any donation, no matter how big or small, will be greatly appreciated. The family is currently in a hotel, but will need to replace what they have lost, especially during this snowy winter. Funds will be needed now but also in the future, to purchase much needed items, such as clothing, housewares, toiletries, etc.
It takes a village and we know that this village will help to ensure that the Nkera family gets back on their feet!
