On the morning of Saturday, November 21st, the residents of 12 & 16 Nightingale Street in Dorchester, Ma, were awoken by smoke and flames in their homes. Boston Fire Department arrived quickly, putting out the 4 alarm fire over several long hours. Porches and power lines collapsed during the fire, along with the devastation of the entire 2nd and 3rd floors of 16 Nightingale Street. All residents were safely escorted outside in time before getting hurt. However, three beloved cats were not rescued in time. By the time BFD was able to put the flames out, there were no possessions left for the residents of 16 Nightingale Street.
Absolutely anything would be appreciated to help the 2nd floor residents of 16 Nightingale Street, Nicole, Andrew, Ariana, and Isabella. All four residents are young adults who just started their new jobs after college or high school, 2 of whom work for AmeriCorps helping others in need, and could use any financial support to restart their lives.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will be given to the 2nd floor residents of 16 Nightingale Street.
