Nico's Dental Surgery

Hello! I am Silvia and I have a three-year-old cat, Nico. I was recently told that Nico has dental disease resulting in painful inflamed gums and tooth loss. In order to help the pain, I will have to remove several of his teeth. On top of his dental disease, I was told he has feline idiopathic cystitis (FIC). FIC is a urinary tract disease that can cause fatal blockages in the urethra. There is no known cause or treatment, but stress (including tooth pain) can induce flare-ups.

I was given a $1,300 estimate for dental surgery. I cannot afford this surgery right now, but fear is I wait Nico will have frequent FIC episodes and it will become painful for him to eat.
