Fred has a very rare form of cancer (Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis) that usually effect young children, he is one of about 8 people in the country that has this. It took a long time to diagnose this form of cancer, It starts on your skin as a rash and it has moved to his bones and other parts of his body . Fred has gone through numerous rounds of chemotherapy , he has never quit fighting, and last year underwent a bone marrow transplant , this has left his immune system depleted ,and he cannot return to work. Fred needs to wear a mask outside his home and surgical gloves, to protect him from harmful germs. Fred cannot eat prepared food or restaurant food. Fred has depleted his savings and exhausted his sick time his vacation time, and his disability benefits and it has been very hard on his family.
We are having a benefit to help raise money for Fred’s family he doesn’t know about this, and he would not want this, but they really need it. So on March 20th at the Billerica Elks lodge starting at 7 pm . We will be hosting a benefit for Fred Scheu. We will have a live band, there will be 50/50, prizes and donated goods will be auctioned off. This is a bring your own snacks, Cash Bar. The tickets are $10.00 per person. This should be a great night out, so please come and bring a guest if you’d like and enjoy the night, lets shake off these winter blues. Feel free to invite others, and send this E-mail out.
