Help Indi to participate more fully in the community by contributing to this fund for a new set of 'wheels'.
Indi is a very energetic five year old who loves Thomas the Tank Engine, reading, singing along to the Frozen II soundtrack, long hugs, doing hand stands on the couch and going on adventures with his family.
He is also autistic, and although he's physically able to walk, he gets easily overstimulated and needs a place to retreat to when things get to be too much.
For the past five years that safe space has been his Mountain Buggy Stroller, which was modified 18 months ago to accommodate his growing frame.
Without a safe space to retreat to, Indi is more likely to engage in unsafe behaviours such as running away, harming himself, or pushing into strangers to get the sensory input that he needs to calm himself.
Having a stroller has made so many community events and every day activities accessible to Indi and his family. Events that he wouldn't have the chance to participate in without this extra accommodation.
Having a stroller also makes outings with his Grandmother, God-Parents and other carers much safer and easier to arrange.
We have managed to make his current stroller last for almost three years, thanks to some modifications from the lovely people at Solve Disability Solutions but he's a big boy now and needs some wheels to carry him through for the next three years (maybe more)
After much research and some fun test drives we've found one that fits the bill. We just need a little help with funding as the NDIS does not cover what we need.
We thank you for your love and support ♥️
