New Life Recovery Sober Living Houses

On June 22, 2021, the world lost Phil Spagnuolo, an incredibly dedicated powerhouse of a man who gave his all into everything he did. In 2016, he founded New Life Recovery to provide a safe place for men to rebuild their lives as they recover from addiction. The organization runs two sober houses in Laconia, NH, which foster personal growth and development through accountability and structure.

My name is Michael Townsend, and I am the live-in house manager for one of New Life's properties which houses 12 men. As a way to honor Phil and to carry out his mission, I've started this GoFundMe to ensure that operations at both of the houses remain while New Life Recovery financials are held up in probate court. All proceeds will be used for house lease payments and utility bills.

Any additional funds will be used to provide scholarship opportunities for individuals new in sobriety coming out of treatment, allowing them to focus solely on recovery. Phil's vision was simple: provide a clean and safe environment for newly sober men to start to rebuild their lives and live like gentlemen. I am honored to have been his friend, and I feel it is my duty to keep lit the torch which he so proudly carried.

Steve Cahill is the live-in manager at New Life's second house. Phil had a great deal of respect for Steve and I'm very grateful to have him as my brother standing beside me in this endeavor.
