****Newest update**** Once again we want to thank everyone for all the love and prayers that have poured in. We appreciate it so much and the Reed family is staying positive. Please keep the prayers and support coming, Chris starts chemo tomorrow (6/12/2023). He will go through a very intensive 7 day straight round of chemo, have a 21 day break and do this 4 more times over the course of 6 months. The oncologist and pharmacist have prepared Kandace and Chris for the many changes that will come in this time. Chris is using his family bonding time to go through this uncomfortable/unfamiliar process. He will likely be limited to interactions with his brand new baby because of the effects of chemo and the potency of the drug itself. Kandace will be doing all the things (cooking, cleaning, taking care of a newborn and Chris on her own). I’m in the process of starting a meal train for them but I’m new to it so please watch for that. The oncologist did recommend being mindful of meals cooked because Chris will be so susceptible to getting sick with a weakened immune system. Please love on this family as much as possible from afar as they enter this next 6 months. We love you all and continue to thank you for the love, prayers and support provided
***Update*** Thank you everyone for all the support that’s flooded in since this has been posted! We are all so grateful for your generosity and love. Chris does not have a Facebook but he wanted us to pass on his extreme gratitude for all the donations and prayers!! We had a new scan that showed multiple tumors found in his lungs but he will be getting his port placed next week and chemo should start the following week to start the big fight. Chris is so incredibly strong and in good spirits. Please keep the support and prayers coming. God is good and Chris will make it through all of this
Hi, this is Chris’s sister in law (Amanda), I’m creating this Go Fund Me account for Chris and Kandace who just welcomed a beautiful baby girl in April. During Kandace’s pregnancy, Chris was diagnosed with testicular cancer. At just 6 weeks postpartum, Chris has learned that his cancer spread. The oncologist diagnosed it as stage 3 which will require intensive chemotherapy over the next 5 months. Due to Kandace being out of work for maternity leave and Chris utilizing his family leave, they will have limited income during his treatment. We humbly ask for any donations and/or prayers during this time to allow them both to recover with less financial stress. We love you all and appreciate your willingness and kindness to help them out.
