Support Femme Rock's New Home!
Femme Rock is a thriving Austin-based music school and community, providing a safe and inclusive space for women and non-binary adults to explore their musical talents and gain confidence. Our community encourages love, empathy, and a punk-rock attitude, with band classes, drum, guitar, and bass lessons, songwriting workshops, and more. We recently moved to our new studio space at 2006 W Koenig Lane, and we need your help to continue our mission!
With your support, we aim to raise a total of $10,000 to cover startup costs for our new, larger space! We’re so grateful for all of our supporters who got us to our first $5,000.
Here’s what we’ve been able to accomplish with these funds:
- Security deposit and insurance for our new space
- Cost of moving all equipment, furniture, supplies
- Paint and equipment set up of two rooms (known as the Thrash Chamber and Riot Room)
While we’ve gotten the basics done, we’re ready and excited to continue painting and adding finishing touches to be fully operational in all rehearsal rooms and make this space feel like home!
Here’s where an additional $5,000 can take us:
- Finish painting our lobby/hallway, Disruptor Den, and Rebel Lounge rooms
- Install security cameras and keypad locks
- Order a new Femme Rock sign for our front yard
- Updates to light fixtures
- Hang additional curtains, privacy films, and soundproofing materials
- Room final touches like installing peg boards and guitar/cable hooks and purchasing new rugs
- Get a new drum set
- Add Femme Rock flair to the space with stencils, photo collages, and murals
