My sister Lushan an I have an opportunity this April to travel to Nepal and spend a week working with women and children living in one of the world’s poorest and least developed countries. During our time there we will be working hard to empower and educate women and young people in Nepal.

Our volunteer role involves providing technology, HR/Management and English knowledge and fluency training to secondary and college students in the computer and management programs. Our goal from our training time there is to improve the students’ chances of getting good jobs in their fields of study and for the future. Teachers who work at many of the local community schools will also join us at the college to develop their technical skills as well. There are a lack of resources, in general, at the community schools hence helping to improve the teachers’ technology skills will impact students at many of the local community schools in the area.

We are both very much looking forward to using our own education and professional backgrounds, life experiences and skills to help these women and children and hopefully make an impact on their lives as I have no doubt they will on ours!

Apart from time, this type of work also requires money and resources and for that we need to raise $2,500 dollars to donate to the amazing non-profit that is helping us do such meaningful and life changing work. Every donation small or large counts and we would be so grateful for your support.
