These funds go to Nelito who organized and ran the months of beach clean-ups during the 2 previous times- in 2021 and 2018 in Pemba, Mozambique. This project provides he and the many homeless & struggling children who help him a source of meaningful work protecting our Earth. The money you send goes towards food, beverages and gloves for the volunteers. The age range of the volunteers is from 4-14. Any additional amount raised beyond the costs of these ongoing clean-ups will help Nelito gain more education. Many of the children volunteers are displaced children who are homeless due to the increasing terrorist activity in the norther region. There is ongoing armed insurgency, human rights abuses and political oppression. This fundraiser helps all of them survive, have joyful purpose, build community & connection.
