Honouring Our Dad – Neil Lang (Armstrong)

Yaama ngindaay (Hello everyone),

It’s with broken hearts and deep sorrow that we share the passing of our beloved father, Neil Lang (Armstrong). Our Dad, aged 81, went to heaven peacefully in his sleep on 1st October 2025.

Dad was a Kamilaroi man, born and bred on Toomelah Mission on Kamilaroi Country, NSW.

He l lived his life guided by love, respect, and family values. His hands worked hard, his heart was generous, and his words carried wisdom.

He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather — a man who always put family first. Dad’s strength, humour, and kindness shaped who we are today. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and his love will forever guide us.

As we come together to honour and farewell our Dad, our family is struggling to meet the costs of his funeral. We want to give him the beautiful send-off he deserves — one that reflects his love for family, culture, and community, and the strong Kamilaroi man that he was.

We are reaching out to friends, family, and community for support. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference and help us lay our Dad to rest with dignity and respect.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your kindness, generosity, and love during this sad time.
