This campaign is designed to help Joey through the difficulties of stage 4 Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Joey is currently fighting the battle with help from his fiancee, Emily, and daughter, Ella.
Joey attended The University of Georgia for three years working towards a degree in Psychology and hopes to, some day, complete that degree. He took some time off of school, to work full time as a restaurant server in order to provide for his family.
Joey went to the ER complaining of pain and difficulty swallowing and breathing. he was given heartbreaking news. The doctors were fairly certain Joey had cancer. Joey was diagnosed with lymphoma. He has a mass in his chest measuring 12 x 12 cm, that caused his left lung to collapse. He also has a mass in his heart and a mass in his pancreas. Joey is now challenged with literally the fight for his life.
We as a family are crushed, especially given it's been just about six months since we lost Jocelyn, Joeys younger sister, age 20, due to a fatal car accident.
Even in these most recent storms of this life, we know we are not alone. Joeys faith is strong. Our faith is strong. We are confident that God is faithful and in control.
Although Emily, continues to work, her income is simply not enough to sustain them. I am asking for your support with prayer as well as any financial contribution you can give to help Joey with his medical bills and provisions for his family, while he fights this cancer.
We will keep you posted on Joey's progress and any updates we receive lymphoma.
