Support Buffy's MRI

Many of you have not yet met beautiful HSoMC Foster Dog, Buffy, and that is because Buffy has not been well. This beautiful English Bulldog mix came to us with severe anxiety issues, and we knew right away that a foster home was the best option for her. After less than a week in her foster home it became painfully apparent that something wasn't right with this sweet girl. Her anxiety and behaviors were not those of a normally anxious or frightened dog, but of a dog that was not herself and not completely in her right mind. We immediately turned to a local vet who recommended bloodwork and feared there was something seriously wrong with Buffy. After finding that her phosphorus was very high in the bloodwork the vet feared she may have hypo parathyroid disease or possibly a brain tumor.
Since then Buffy's calcium levels have indicated she does not have hypo parathyroid disease. This leads us to believe this amazing dog may have a brain tumor.
As a no kill facility we believe in giving our animals every chance to live the best life they can live. In order to find out if Buffy is suffering from a Brain Tumor we must get an MRI done at a neurologist on her, which costs around $2,000 (with examination as well). As a non profit organization we rely on donations, and we are hoping our supporters will step up to help Buffy!
We know that even if Buffy has a tumor, there are options and we can make sure that the rest of her life is the best it can be.
Despite her sometimes crippling anxiety, Buffy is learning to love life and love her foster family, including the other dogs! She deserves to find happiness and by providing this procedure and a diagnosis, we believe we can give that to her.
