Our local businesses earn 80% of their annual revenue over the Christmas and New Year period. Narooma and District businesses were impacted from early December by road closures, evacuation of tourists and power and communications outages.
In response to the recent bush fire disaster and the impact that this had on our local economy, the Narooma and District Chamber of Commerce and Tourism has started a GoFundMe page. The intention of starting the GoFundMe Page is to develop practical promotional campaigns that will boost our local economy. Our first campaign will be to re-launch the Destination brand - "Narooma - How life should be". This is a chamber led initiative but should be owned by the entire community.
We would really appreciate your donations that will go towards supporting our local economy not just now but for the future. This campaign is urgent as local businesses need cash flow now.
