Katelynn's Medical/Recovery Expense
Donation protected
My niece's 7 year old daughter, Katelynn, had a seizure out of nowhere last year that lasted a little over 2 hours. She incurred massive brain damage and a stroke. Now Katelynn is permanently handicapped with Diffuse Encephalopathy and has damage to her Basil Gangalia from the stroke, causing difficulty with normal daily activities we all take for granted. She is having to learn how to dress herself, eat, walk, talk, and even learn how to play all over again much like a toddler. Her mother is a single parent of 3 and is not working due to the critical nature of this little girl's illness and recovery process. Katelynn has multiple weekly therapy appointments for PT, OT, Speech, and Neurology and her mother takes her and is involved in many of these sessions. It has been 2 yrs and 9 months since Katelynn's brain damage occurred. Katelynn is now 9 yrs old.
During this time, expenses continue to mount. Katelynn is in need of special equipment to advance her recovery and insurance limits such purchases. There are also major house repairs needed to address safety issues for which there are no available funds. Christmas time is upon us again as well and with it brings other financial stressors.
Any donation is greatly appreciated and will assist in meeting Katelynn's special needs.
