My Tour De 4 Fundraiser to Fight Cancer

I was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in January 2024. Not so long ago the type of cancer I have had a very poor prognosis as treatment options were limited. Today however, thanks to the amazing work done by scientists and clinicians, the outlook is much brighter and I am on maintenance therapy which is keeping the cancer under control after the initial chemotherapy blitzed the bastard.

Following Sir Chris Hoy's diagnosis with Stage 4 cancer, Tour De 4 was established with a clear purpose: to demonstrate that a Stage 4 diagnosis, while devastating, doesn't define the limits of what's possible.

Prior to diagnosis I cycled to work a couple of times a week (7 miles each way and I found that quite an effort) but have not been back on my bike much yet, so this 37mile ride will be a real challenge. But I guess that’s the point!
