I’m taking part in Tour de 4 2026, the cycling event launched by Sir Chris Hoy following his Stage 4 cancer diagnosis. It brings together people living with Stage 4 cancer, alongside friends, families and supporters, to ride side by side and raise vital funds.

Our lives were turned upside down after Mhairi, my darling wife of 32 years & the most amazing mother of our three girls, was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer at the end of October. This has been the most heartbreaking & devastating time in our lives.

Mhairi started started Chemotherapy & Clinical trial at the Beatson CRU in early December. At first, attending the Beatson CRU was an incredibly scary experience for Mhairi but this soon changed into a place of

HOPE for our family. All the staff at the Beatson CRU are the most dedicated, supportive & kind people. They only want the absolute best outcome for their patients.

I want to give back to the place that is walking alongside us as we fight the fight of our lives. We could not ask for better guides and partners.

I am embarking on this journey with my closest friends. They are keen to contribute to this important cause and participate in the Tour de 4 2026.
