My journey through loss and homelessness

Donación protegida
My name is Brian. In June of 2025, my entire world ended. My disabled mother died suddenly of a stroke, and as I was her caretaker, I found myself without income. I am now homeless and struggling to survive. Shortly afterwards, I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. My heart is only pumping at 25 percent capacity, which leaves me regularly struggling to breathe and combined with pain from a back injury limits my mobility. I'm trying to get disability, but it could be over a year before I receive it. I'm trying to survive until then, and am terrified for my future, as my health makes me less able to survive on the streets. It costs $10 a night to stay at a shelter where I live so any money I receive will go towards that and towards getting back on my feet. I appreciate any aid you get, and am willing to post whatever proof you ask for.

Update 1: I had to leave the shelter as I was having severe anxiety and panic attacks due to PTSD, and that nearly led to me doing something desperate. I've spent the last week in a hotel, but am now out of money. I've been sleeping in a park and spending my days in the library. It's hard, but I'm surviving.
