Unfortunately, I have had emergency foot surgery that is forcing me to stay on the couch with my feet up. Before this I was a field service engineer, maintaining auto-testing equipment for microbiology labs in children's hospitals. The pay was enough to keep a roof over our heads, food in the pantry, and bills paid. Things got tight financially with the price of gas going up, with my salary staying the same. My last paycheck will cover rent and thats pretty much it.
I am afraid. I am actively looking for a remote job, talking to the local Veteran's Service Office for any benefits, and trying to get a grant from the Marine Corps League. But, none of this will help now and I am not sure how Im going to feed my family, let alone how Im going to pay bills or rent.
I hate having to do this. Im so sick inside writing this. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
