CHILDREN’S MUSIC GARDEN AT HPAK IN HONOUR OF TOM BASISTA

Hi,

My name is Cicelia and I am raising funds in honour of my beloved partner of 11 years, Tom Basista, who was an incredible human and a Teaching Assistant at Harris Primary Academy Kenley.

He died peacefully in St. Thomas’ Hospital, London on 31st January 2024, shortly after contracting an Invasive Group A Strep bacterial infection. He was just 39 years old.

Tom was unique with so much to give and so much to live for and we are all truly heartbroken by this tragic loss. He leaves behind his two children Theodore and Lola as well as myself, his sister Rose and parents Alice and Jacek.

Tom was a talented musician and avid music lover. He was also passionate about enriching the lives of young people especially through music and had done so for many years.

He led a music after school club at Harris Primary Academy Kenley and sadly that no longer runs, but by way of continuing his legacy, we are fundraising to build an outdoor music garden at the school that the children can enjoy for many years to come. It will be a place that if Tom were here, he’d have loved to have spent time at jamming with the children.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to Harris Primary Academy Kenley for the outdoor instruments and installation of the music garden.
