Ms. Angela's battle

Hello Everyone,

My name is Inna Yalovska, I created this fundraiser to support our fantastic music instructor, Ms. Angela Melton, who fights Stage 3 Breast Cancer.

Being a single mom, still working to support herself and her son while battling the illness, has been very challenging. We would love to help Angela take care of some expenses as she starts a long medical treatment journey, which we know will involve surgery and chemotherapy.

Ms. Angela has been working at Atlanta Piano Fortissimo studio since we opened. A lot of you know her personally through lessons, others may have seen her in the hallways or heard her play/sing behind classroom door and wondered who that talented teacher and performer was.

If you have not, I would like to share with you briefly Angela’s story:

Angela immigrated from Russia to the US several years ago after accepting a musical theater job in Chicago. She has always had a passion for the arts, which persuaded her to receive two degrees (one in Piano Performance and the second in Musical Theater). While living in Russia, Angela participated in the International Festival "Kinotavr" in the city of Sochi and received an offer to tour the US with her musical theater.

After her US tour, she accepted a job with Chicago theater, got married and had her son Nicholas, who prompted her to step away from touring and dedicate her time to her family.

As Nicholas got older, Angela was so happy to return to her favorite job finally and start teaching again, but she is now challenged by cancer.
