I’m raising funds for my son, Caleb, as he faces another major surgery. Caleb was born with esophageal narrowing, and three years ago he went through a life-changing operation to completely remove his esophagus, followed by a gastric pull-up. Since then, he has continued to struggle with serious stomach emptying problems that cause pain, bloating, nausea, and poor nutrition.

Over the last few years, doctors have tried Botox injections to his pylorus, along with therapies, procedures, medications, and diet changes. Caleb has also had to alter his diet and rely on supplements for calories because his stomach does not work properly. Despite all of these efforts, nothing has been successful for him. Now his doctors have said he needs another major surgery to widen his pylorus so his stomach can empty better.

As a parent, it is incredibly hard to watch my child go through so much and know there is another hospitalization and recovery ahead. We have four children, and my husband is the only one working, so this surgery will put even more strain on our family while Caleb is in the hospital. The surgery date is still pending, but we know this need is coming soon.
