Essa é a nossa querida Val; mãe, guerreira, que luta contra o câncer estágio 4 bem avançado no pulmão e na região pélvica. Ha 1 ano fazendo químio, foi curada de câncer no ovário e estômago. Seu maior incentivo em continuar lutando é seu filho Victor de 11 anos. Os custos do tratamento são cobertos pelo Masshealth, porém ela está afastada do trabalho por tempo indeterminado.
