What's the plan?
With almost no plan, skills or tools, Lucy and Indigo are taking a 20 year old, 1.29 Litre (custard yellow) Fiat Panda from London to Far East Kazakhstan as part of the Mongol Rally.

Driving well over 15,000+ km we will be tackling terrain that our poor chariot is certainly not suited for.

All money raised is only going to the charities and is not funding any part of the trip.

Why Are We Doing This?
Indigo attempted to do this event in 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic changed his plans and he made it as far east as Estonia. This time, we hope to have better luck.

We don't have a real plan, in the hopes of this feeling like a true adventure across countries, landscapes, and cultures that we've not before had the pleasure of experiencing. We recognise the immense unfairness and privilege associated with the fact that we can pass through the majority of the countries on this route freely with little prior planning.

We would love to raise as much money as we can for some brilliant charities.

Lucy has selected Changing Lives, a charity founded in the North East of the UK, who have been helping people facing some of the most challenging circumstances for 50 years, providing holistic support to help people go on to lead happy, fulfilling lives. They work across four, interconnected areas to address the most common causes of social exclusion and long-term deprivation: Housing and Homelessness, Recovery and Wellbeing, Women and Children, and Employment and Training.

Indigo has selected MapAction, where he volunteers and recently deployed to Jamaica to support the response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa. MapAction is a humanitarian response charity, a team of technical cartographers who deploy to support the coordination after disasters. They make maps for those who need them most. Over 20 years, in 140+ humanitarian emergencies in 80 countries.

The first £500 will go to Cool Earth, the Mongol Rally chosen charity. Cool Earth works alongside indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction. All their partnerships are community-owned and led. Local people stand to lose the most from deforestation but the most to gain from its protection, and they are the forest’s best possible custodians.
