Charla is my mother in law and one of the most amazingly strong people I have ever met.
It kills me to see her so devastated. She had been in her home 53 years and now it is completely destroyed. It had been re-built during Hurricane Ike and made to a home again.
This storm wiped it out. It pushed the majority of the walls off the floor and the power can't be restored without being completely renewed.
I have never reached out to anyone for a dime as my wife and I lost our home in Ike, or when I suffered the massive heart attack in February this year. I am not physically able to tear her house down or financially stable enough to purchase her a Mobil home.
My goal is to raise enough for her to D&R her existing structure, move in a decent mobile home and add a nice porch.
Her husband is no longer with Us and with her being on social security she can't make a payment for a new home.
