Mobility Chair for Morgana - Super Secret Surprise!

Hi!

If you don't know Morgana, you're missing out.

She has been a staple at Pennsic for decades, even serving as Mayor.

Help Morgana to continue being active for many years to come by assisting in getting her a Mobility Chair!

Good news!

The chair itself has been donated! (a $3,000 gift!)

However, we have some expenses to get it functional and to Pennsic for her. Mainly new batteries and to get the chair from Western Canada to Pennsylvania.

Please note, we are trying to keep the chair a surprise for Morgana to receive at Pennsic. Conversations have happened amongst her SCA family and Pennsic campmates to ensure this is an appropriate surprise.

We encourage you to share this fundraiser, but please keep it private to try to keep it a surprise.

Budget:

~ $300 for new batteries

~ $300 to assist with transportation cost from Western Canada

~ $150 for a water-proof protective cover

Batteries:

The chair requires two rechargeable batteries. They will be sourced from Amazon, although we are looking at finding a wholesale source.

Transportation Costs:

We have arranged space to transport the chair from Western Canada to Pennsylvania, and then to Missouri after Pennsic, before the driver heads back to Western Canada. Due to the size of the chair, this means the driver cannot take a passenger as they normally would. Fuel costs are typically $800, of which a passenger would normally pay half.

Water-Proof Cover:

Pennsic can get very wet, and we want to protect this investment from rain damage. I have done some preliminary research and a generic cover costs between $50-100 plus shipping.

Excess Funds Received:

Any funds received over what is needed to obtain the batteries and get the chair to Pennsic and home will be used to purchase additional accessories for the chair (storage basket, rain slicker, spare charging cord, etc) or given to Morgana so she can upgrade the chair as she feels best for her needs.
