Helping Mason's Mommy
Donation protected
My name is Sarah Stoutenburg and I would like to share a story about my sister Mary Stoutenburg . Mary has a busy life being a working mom of two boys Mason and Devon. Up until last week Mason her seven year old son was a happy healthy young boy. Mason just had his 2nd grade musical this past week as he is a mini mustang at Lacure Elementary school in Clio
Mason began complaining about not feeling and his mother noticed a change in his energy level. On 2-15-15 Mason was brought to Hurley hospital for a closer look.
Mason soon began a series of testing throughout the day.
Soon Mary received a Mother's worst fear. Your son is in heart failure his heart is only pumping around 10 percent which is causing his organs to be enlarged. Masons heart is very weak and he is in pain from the organs being enlarged .
Mason was transported to University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor that same evening on 2-15-15 to be treated by a Pediatric Cardiologist.
Doctors seem to think Mason has been like this for quite sometime and in the past week it has manifested to a severe point. A team of doctors are working to figure out what's caused this.
Mary was told 1 of 3 kids get better, 1 of 3 kids take medicine to deal with heart and 1 of 3 kids will need a heart transplant.
Only time will tell what categoryMason will fall in.
At this point he is very sick and will remain at Ann Arbor hospital.
Mary has taken a leave of absence from her job so that she can remain at Masons bed side round clock.
Any donations will go to help out Mary Stoutenburg during this time so that she can stay by Masons side in the hospital.
