Michael's Recovery Fund

There was a horrible accident the evening of July 4th. Michael (age 13) was on his way to downtown Morgan Hill after a bar-b-que at his house. Along with his parents (Sara Macias, Mother & Paul Macias, Step Father), family and friends they planned to enjoy the fireworks from the Morgan Hill Community Center.
Michael was in a crosswalk, but was hit by an SUV that never braked before the impact. Michael took the full hit straight on and ended up under the SUV. Witnesses have stated he was dragged under the vehicle to the next crosswalk - before the vehicle came to a full stop.
Michael has suffered severe head trauma. His parents, family and friends who were on that journey to watch fireworks that night, all witnessed this tragic nightmare.
Two surgeries have been performed, including taking a section of the cranium from the side of his head, to help relieve pressure from brain swelling. He has now spent more than a full week in Pediatric ICU. Michael has not been able to wake up and has a long – but very hopeful road to recovery ahead of him.
Michael and his parents are very active in their church & have had so much loving support - it's just a beautiful thing. We continue to pray for his full recovery. We have Hope, We have Faith, We Believe.
Michael’s parents have been with him – night and day. They are at the onset of realizing exorbitant financial hardships that the very specialized medical services Michael’s condition requires. We ask for your help in any increment you are able to comfortably support or simply to keep Michael in your thoughts and prayers. No person, let alone such a young man, should ever endure the battles Michael is now and will continue to fight.
Thanks & God Bless You All
