Miracle in the making, The Powell's IVF journey
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ryan. I'm 20 years old, and I have decided to start this GoFundMe for my parents who are planning on doing IVF.
A bit of background story. My mom is probably one of the nicest people you'll meet. She's had a lot of trauma in the past, She was in a very abusive relationship when she had myself and my sister. Unfortunately, both of us are on the autistic spectrum, so things haven't been easy for her. A few years ago, she had a huge infection and ended up having life saving surgery. She was in a coma, and I still remember to this day what it was like, the fact that we could have lost our mom. Since then, she has had many surgeries and complications from infections and unfortunately ended up being misdiagnosed along the way and having her womb removed.
Fast forward a few years, and she met my stepdad Jordan. He has raised us for the last seven years, and I want nothing more for them to both share the joy of having their own child. As much as he has taken on myself and my sisters, I really want him to experience having his own biological child. But with the mounting costs that they have already incurred, the reality of this seems unattainable.
Knowing that they are about to embark on such a stressful journey, I really want to ease the financial burden and ask if people will help towards this journey.
If you can't afford to give, can I just ask that you keep them in your prayers as they really deserve this. They work so hard every day, always helping others, and it's my turn to try and give back to them.
Thanks Ryan
