Miotisoa's therapeutic tricycle
Donation protected
Miotisoa Irvina Ranaivojaona (Tisoa) is a 8 years old little girl. She has been on a wheelchair because of her medical case. Tisoa was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at nine months which makes it difficult to communicate, walk, stand or move her arms and legs without assistance. Since she was 3 years old, she has muscle spasms making it tight and has required frequent Botox injections in order to maintain her range of motion. With her physical therapists, she works to move as much as possible. They have worked on walking and addition to different tools/equipment that would help Tisoa to move she has also been using an adaptive tricycle during the school day at recess and also during PE class. She loves it, and gets a big smile whenever she can ride it. She never wants to get off, and it is a great way for her to get out of her wheelchair, get exercise and participate with her friends.
She strongly requires this type of tricycle because it is adapted for her to keep her safe. It is adjustable so that as she grows she can continue to use. It also has straps for her chest, hips and feet to make sure she is able to stay safely in position to ride it. We are really hoping to get this for her as soon as possible by the first week of October of this year (right after her surgery) so that she can use it at home, get lots of exercise, stay strong and more importantly have lots of fun!!
