Milo Jackson's Medical Needs

Hi, I'm Clayton, son of Brenda and step-son of her wonderful husband, Milo... which has been a dad to me for about 30 years. With no children of his own, I am his son. This man has raised me since before I was a teenager, and loved and supported me every step of the way, even when he shouldn't have. He has always worked very hard to support us, up until he couldn't anymore. His health hasn't been the greatest lately, losing a foot in 2020, among other issues, but he is a very strong willed man and only sees the best of every outcome. We need him more than we need anything in this world.

On January 17th he was rushed to the emergency room after a series of seizures. The seizures left him unable to communicate, all he could say was "Ok" and "Yes", even though we weren't asking questions. He was not comprehending what was being said. He couldn't count to 5. Yet, he was able to get out an "I love you" when I stepped into his room.

After some tests, they found a mass in his brain. It's still early, and we don't know details about this mass, but the swelling from is what caused all of this. He is currently in the CCU and will be for the foreseeable future. There's no telling what surgeries will soon come, but we know we are at the beginning of a long road to recovery. Along this road there will be many, very expensive hospital bills. With Milo having the only source of income at the time, I worry what this will do to my mother. I worry, even if he (medically) pulls completely through, that this will have devastating effects on their livelihood. Besides the hospital bills in the near future, my mother is stuck trying to figure out how to pay every bill that he has always taken care of... Utilities, Food, transportation to and from the hospital, etc.

I've seen wonderful stories come from GFM, and I hope this, somehow, gets to the people in the world that are more capable of helping than anyone in our family, or circle of friends.

I've read that less than 12% of GoFundMes for medical reasons ever reach their goal, but I believe that “humanity alone will overcome everything”.

Every penny raised will go directly to his medical needs and the care of my mother in these very difficult times.
