Millie and Heinrich Dental Surgery Fund
Donation protected
I recently discovered that my beloved cats, Millie and Heinrich, are in need of intense dental surgery. The twins are suffering from tooth resorption. Many of their teeth are eroding and absorbing into their gums. Ouch! It is very painful and the only course of treatment is tooth extraction. Vets do not know what causes tooth resorption, it is likely a genetic condition. Finding out that both cats are in pain and need surgery was heartbreaking. The good news is that after tooth extraction, cats go on to live happy lives. Turns out, they are okay being toothless! The bad news is that these necessary surgeries are expensive and the cost is dependent on the amount of teeth pulled.
The vet declared Millie to be "far worse" than her brother, and advised to schedule her surgery as soon as possible. Her surgery is currently scheduled for March 8, 2024. Once Millie is in the clear, I plan to schedule Heinrich.
I hope the money raised by this GoFundMe covers the cost of both surgeries. I will not know the exact price until the vet determines the amount of teeth that need to be pulled, which unfortunately can only happen at the time of the surgery. Any funds that exceed the price of the surgeries will be reallocated to mutual aid in Chicago.
Please take your pet babies to the vet and have their teeth checked <3 (and if you can, brush their teeth- good luck!)
