It's been a little over a month since the passing of our sweet French Bulldog, Miles Davis. Letting him go was the hardest moment in my life. He was the closest thing I have had to a child. He was the start of our little family. It's been hard getting used to him not being here. Sometimes I still wake up to let him out, sneak around the house so he doesn't bark when I want to eat something, or go straight to where his cage used to be to snuggle him when I'm having a hard time with something.

I never got the chance to thank you. Just 20 minutes after we posted about his passing, hundreds of friends, pet owners, and even pets took the time to comfort us and even shared stories about the passing of their loved ones. This brought us to tears and made the process so much easier, and for that I will be forever grateful.

The night we brought him to the vet, all we knew was that he needed surgery and there was an 85% chance it was going to work. We didn't know how we were going to afford it, but we had to do everything we could to be able to bring him home. I believe we did just that, but unfortunately we weren't so lucky. I don't understand why this happened, or what this might be preparing us for. But we were just reminded of the reality of him not making it back home with his medical bill. I don't like asking for money, because I don't like making people feel obligated, but if you would like to help it would be greatly appreciated. ❤️ -Joshua and Macie Menard
