Mike's ThinkBeforeYouAct Fund

Dear Friends & Supporters,

The reason I am asking for your financial support is so that I can continue to tour the country, educating our youth on how small decisions can largely impact your life. Given my physical difficulties, I do not have a means of bringing in an income for myself. These funds will go towards my travel expenses (gas, air fare, hotel), bracelets (that I purchase and hand out at presentations), keychains (I would like to have made that will serve as a reminder for drivers), and giving presentations at schools that cannot afford to pay me.

One of the many reasons I started this cause is that I don't want anyone who reads this to go through suffering like I have. I am still in mid-recovery and still can't talk or eat, but I keep thinking of a few reasons that I would like to share my story through Think Before You Act .

First, I want to get my message out and help others stay safe because bad things do happen to good people. I'd like everyone who reads this to think before they act and use good judgment. Secondly, I would like everyone who reads this to appreciate the little things in life -- things you probably do and don't even think about. The third reason for my cause is that I would like whoever reads this - a parent, child, whoever you are - to know anything is possible if only you believe, have patience, and develop an extremely strong work ethic. Doctors told my family I may never walk, talk or eat, and it was even said I may not have the ability to learn or remember anything. Today I run and lift 5 days a week, drink 3 protein shakes a day, am currently writing a book, and also give motivational/educational presentations.

I just want everyone to know with anything and everything that happens to you in life, you are given a choice. You can either use the event that occurs in your life to let it motivate you and drive you, or you can let it bring you down. We can never control what happens to us in life, but we can always control how we react to it. I know most who read this won't listen to my message and you will keep the same mentality that "bad things won't happen to you" like I thought, but if I can inspire 1 person, change 1 person's life, or make 1 person think before they act, it's worth all the time and energy I put into it.

Any amount that you can donate to my campaign will be used for the reasons listed above, and I promise to keep you updated on my progress towards these goals.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
