Mike Meets Life - Mental Wellbeing Resources

Mike Meets Life was born from a place of despair. From a place where darkness over-shadows light and the mental battle seems unbearable. It started as a concept to help myself through online journalling and eventually, after recovery, became focussed on giving back, on raising awareness and of helping others in their time of need.

As the brand, primarily an online page filled with motivation, love and kindness has developed, so have my ideas on helping others. Merchandise such as mental wellbeing adult colouring books, journalling stationary, diaries or calendars to keep routines and organised and letterbox love are all items I want to release.

10% of all annual profits will be donated to a selected mental health charity which will change annually. Initially and in Year 1 it will be YoungMinds.

Can you help? Please share to support at the very least - thank you.

Firstly let me say, this page is NOT ABOUT CHARITY. I do not want you to feel obliged to do anything and the PRIMARY purpose of my page and Mike Meets Life is to raise mental health awareness, support others who are struggling, spread kindness and love and ultimately motivate people to be the best version of themselves.

However, it has come to me recently that others would benefit from resources which support their mental well-being. Self care is of the utmost importance and I have worked tirelessly in the background to produce a plan and gain the resources to do that. However, it isn't free and as this business is not about making money, to bring these resources to life I am looking for some funding generosity.

My aim is to create:
An adult colouring book, great for self care and helping to relax your mind. For many, it's very therapeutic.

An A1 wall calendar for you to organise your yearly dates. It will come in a variety of colours and include sections to remind yourself of how amazing you are. To keep you motivated.

A mood journal - a journal designed specifically for you to record how you feel, monitor the progress you make and give you tips to keep going. Writing a diary is a great way to offload.

An annual diary - a standard day to day calendar but with motivational messages and simple mood trackers built in to each day. Reminders of your worth and weekly tips or suggestions to improve your mental health.

Postcards - a scheme I've been considering for a while. You'll be able to send friends or family, or even random strangers, an anonymous postcard. You'll be able to pick from a number of designs which will be motivational, supportive and/or positive quotes and enter a small anonymous message that will be hand written on the back.

10% of any profits will be donated to a mental health charity every year on the sale of products and the rest will be reinvested in to resources to help others.

Mike Meets Life isn't about making money. It's about helping people.

I've costed the production of all the above items, including design work support and advertising fees to launch and with an injection of my own money, I can do it all for £4k. However, if I receive any donations but much lower than my target, I'll be asking what people want and will produce whatever I can.

If you feel obliged, as little as a couple of quid can go a long way to get this whole thing started.

Thank you so much for your consideration
