MICHELLE VERNIE (CLASS OF 1986) NEEDS OUR HELP!

CALLING ALL BUCS! Our girl, MICHELLE VERNIE (SD Class of '86), is in need of our prayers AND support.

As you all know, Michelle, has a heart of gold, a zest for life and is always the life of the party!! She is a giving person who does not ask for anything in return but right now she is in a difficult situation and needs us!

For the past few month's she's been dealing w/ health issues and after getting the clear from several doctors (cardiologists, pulmonologists, endocrinologists, gastroenterologists, etc) she finally got answers to her symptoms (mainly shortness of breath)....

Last week and at the young age of 55 Michelle was told she was almost in stage 4 Congestive Heart Failure w/ a BNP over 5000, an enlarged heart and lungs full of fluid. This is something that does NOT happen to people her age. Doctors have told her that they can not fix or reverse the damage already done to her heart however, they are trying to get this under control and maintained. Oh and on top of this, she has 2 blood clots in her heart (thrombus measuring 14x14 m at the LV apex & thrombus measuring 36x26 mm along the anterior/anteroseptal wall of the mid LV).

Micehlle is single therefore, does not have the support of a partner and does not know when she'll be able to return to work.. Even when she returns to work she will have to be missing work for therapy appt's, weekly blood work and doctor's appointments. It is natural for her to be most concerned about her financial responsibilities and that is where WE COME IN.... !!!!

Michelle was told that she will need to go through cardiac therapy and will have to take it easy (no stress, strenuous exercise, very minimal salt intake, limited liquid intake of 1 liter per day and the list goes on)....
