Michel Amyotte Stem Cell Trial
Donation protected
On December 18 2013 Michel Amyotte was diagnosed with Primary Progressive MS (Multiple Sclerosis). By February 2014 he was no longer able to work and by November the same year he lost his driver's licence due to deterioration of his motor skills. The family searches for treatment options and on May 23 2017 Michel will be starting the Mescam Stem Cell Transplant trial with Dr. Freedman in Ottawa. The family has high hopes that this treatment will slow down the progression of MS or even repair some damage. In order to receive the treatment, the family must make frequent trips to Ottawa for the period of one year.
The family is looking for donations to help alleviate some of the financial stress that they will endure due to the need for unpaid time off work for his wife to drive him, accommodations, food and gas.
