Help Michael Heal from Meningitis

On Feb 9th Michael started complaining of neck pain and headache, he thought he had tweaked his neck lying on the couch, but that night he caught a chill and woke up feverish. We thought he had the flu, but over the next 2 days his symptoms worsened and I took him to the ER where he was immediately treated for sepsis and admitted to ICU.
Our dear sweet Michael Angell has been hospitalized since Feb 12th for sepsis and a rare fungal meningitis. He is nolonger septic, and medically stable but still fighting to recover from fungal meningitis. Meningitis is an inflammation of the protective tissues covering the brain and spinal cord, caused by an infection. He has been transferred from Sierra Nevada hospital to a hospital in Sacramento more specialized to treat this rare disease. Doctors anticipate he will be hospitalized for another 2 weeks.
Those of you who know Michael, know that he leads a simple life in service to those who are wanting support to heal old wounds and shift stuck patterns in their lives. He is a kind and compassionate soul, who has helped so many people rediscover a part of themselves, and if you have worked with him, you have a friend for life. He is a friend who many call on in times of crisis for his grounded candid and sincere counsel.
Michael is a humble and amazing artist, who creates fantastical sculptures that are admired, but are yet to be a source of revenue. He has limited financial resources and a very basic health insurance plan.
He lacks family support, and those of us who love and care for him are his family.
